Guidelines on WTF Grand-Prix in general and WTF Grand-Prix 2013 Final Manchester

Dear Colleagues,
I hope this letter finds you well.
Following a series of intensive working group meetings and final approval of the WTF Council on the related regulations, the WTF is pleased to confirm that the WTF World Grand-Prix will be launched on December 13-15, 2013 in Manchester, UK.
The related regulations are already set out in different WTF Rules such as WTF Grand-Prix Standing Procedures and WTF World Ranking Bylaw which are available for download from the WTF website.
For your convenience and easy reference, we have prepared two documents related to Grand-Prix : one is the general guidelines on Grand-Prix which will be applied from the year of 2014; and the other one is the guideline on Grand-Prix 2013.
Final Manchester which has been developed taking into account the nature of the Manchester event as the inaugural Grand Prix.
Please note that the invitation to GP Manchester will be officially extended in early September to the pertinent member national associations of which athletes are ranked within 31 based on WTF Olympic Ranking issued early September.
Further to various feedbacks from MNAs, the Olympic qualification system has been slightly revised and needs now approval from the WTF Council on the proposed changes.
Sincerely yours,
Jean-Marie Ayer
Secretary General
